Preserving Duffinetti's 78 Years of Success With A New Look

We take pride in all of the work we produce, but if there's one area that we are the most proud of it is our ability to preserve the long standing success of businesses in a new look. Duffinetti's has been in business over 78 years, serving Italian cuisine to generations of families. We first reached out to the third generation owner, Trish, with a proposal to do the website and that turned into so much more.

In 2025, we were able to start full service marketing solutions to bring a refresh to the business. This led to great success resulting in an increase in sales, customer loyalty, and exposure. From graphic and web design to social media with high quality content, our work preserved the decades of history the Asselta family built while building a brand. As we enter 2026, our marketing is still going strong with increased efforts to expand offerings.

With every business we have to first identify key concepts. For Duffinetti's that was incredibly easy. Remember the good old days when the owner of a restaurant was in and out of the kitchen to help prepare your meal, visited your table and asked your name, laughed and had a drink with you, and treated you like family? Well at Duffinetti's, that's not the good old days...that's right now. The restaurant is warm and inviting. Meals are made from scratch from family recipes, because you are part of the family. Trish works tirelessly to make sure the experience of Duffinetti's is the same now as it was 50 years ago. We are incredibly thankful to have a client like this and we are very proud to have Trish and Duffinetti's as a client.

We started with a simple website with an easy to read menu integration and online store. This was a great improvement to the restaurant and allowed customers to shop year round for signature items. Today, the site has expanded to include instant booking of private parties and instant ordering of trays to go which will both continue to grow sales.

For design, we wanted to preserve the deep red color as the signature color of the brand as it had been used for years. We started with white backgrounds, but the look was just too "sterile" looking. After trying a few designs, we landed on a tan, weathered paper look background. The color showed warmth in the branding and the ageing design represented the history. Across the brand we used the same typeface as in the logo, however we have since altered the branding to stop using the main "Duffinetti's" type face. Now, all of the materials match and the branding is very strong, you can read more on that here.

When we start social media for businesses with longstanding history, we always start slow. We do this because we don't want the current clientele to feel the brand is moving beyond them. The timeline is different for all clients. We work to make sure the clientele feels valued and respected while we position the business to gain new customers. With our marketing, we make sure the current customers are not left behind.

We got to work with high quality media and models. You can see all of our work on their Instagram here. Year one, our goal was simply to showcase the food and the restaurant. As we enter year two, our marketing strategy for social media is changing to focus on the people, the customers, and the experience of Duffinetti's. With restaurants where the owner is very present, and very loved, we want to make sure we showcase this.

Our marketing methods work well because of the long term road to success. We don't look to jumpstart the business overnight and go 0-60 in 1 second. We take the road less traveled, but more sustainable. Duffinetti's will continue to grow thanks to our long term plan, it won't be instant success and then a drop off a cliff. We are always going to evolve the brand and create new opportunities for exposure.
